3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
22 Aug 49 - Conscripted into NKA at YONGGO-Myon.
1 Sep 49 - Aug 50 - Arrived at HUNGNAM (興南) and assigned to HOAN Security Bn, 30th Co. PW took training and guarded industrial installations.
7 Sep 50 - 10 Sep 50 - Arrived at KYONSONG with approx 1,000 men. PW was assigned to 107th Regt, 27th Bq Hg as office clerk.
13 Sep 50 - 16 Sep 50 - Arrived at NAMYANG. 107th Regt guarded seashore.
22 Sep 50 - 107th Inf Regt, 27th Bn arrived approx 1 km N of KIMP’O in the hills and was engaged in battle. Same morning PW deserted and was captured by the SK Village Police.
Unit Organization and Strength:
Original Organization and Strength: 107th Regt was composed of three battalions, 27th, 32nd, and another u/k battalion.
Actual Battle Organization and Strength: 27th Bn was composed of three Inf Co’s, 148 men to a company. One HMG Co composed of l00 men. 27th Bn also had 7 independent Plats: the transportation, recon, engr, AT, Arty medical, guard and communication platoons.
107th Inf Regt -
In the 27th Bn each Co had 20 captured US M-1’s, 80 to 90 rounds each.
HMG Co, three captured US HMG.
Independent Plats (attached to 27th Bn): Trans Plat, 27 Russian made ZIS trucks. AT Arty Plat - 10 AT Arty pieces. Guard Plat - 1 Jap make rifle to every 2 men, 200 rounds each. Communication Plat - 4 telephones.

To patrol occupied areas.
Unit History:
107th Inf Regt was organized at KYONGSONG on 8 Sep 50.
Communications:
Wire communication between units was impossible due to constant bombardment by UN aircraft. Runners were used between units.
