3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
5 Sep 50: Conscripted at PYONGYANG, commissioned Jr Lt and assigned to 31st Brig in SEOUL as supply officer.
27 Sep 50: Supply unit moved to CHIHOH.
1 Oct 50: Started retreating N and on 10 Oct 50 after retreating to KUMHMA surrendered to ROK Forces.

31st Brig (5,400 men)
Equipment:
Arty, HMG, SMG, and Rifles. Only 30% of Div armed.
Unit History:
12 Sep 50: 31st Brig was organized at SEOUL, majority being South Koreans except for the officers, After the invasion of SEOUL, elements of 31st Brigade got separated and retreated to UIJONGBU and CAL MAL MYON (20 km S of CHORWON).
5 Oct 50: 31st Brig was reorganized and redesignated 31st Div.
Believed that most men deserted after it was disorganized on 9 Oct 50. PW stated the 31st Brig was composed of 9 Bns (5,400 men) but when reorganized as the 31st Div it was made up of 3 Regts (3,200 men).
