3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
15 Jul 50 - Conscripted into Army at P’YONGYANG.
20 Jul 50 - Arrived in SEOUL and was assigned to GHQ Garrison. He was in charge of some men and had them store beef In a warehouse.
14 Sep 50 - Assigned to 36th Bn.
19 Sep 50 - Went to KIMP’O Airfield.
23 Sep 50 - Attacked by UN Forces, retreated to KAESONG.
24 Sep 50 - Went to YONGMYON-Ni.
13 Oct 50 - Attacked by UN Forces and surrendered.
Unit Organization and Strength:
36th Bn: Originally 650 men, 2 Arty pieces; now about half strength. Organized on 14 Sep 50 in SEOUL for use in occupation duties.
Personalities:
26th Bn Co - Maj PAK, Chin Shil (朴鎭實).
Morale and Propaganda:
Unit’s morale was low because of insufficient weapons. Received propaganda leaflets and thought of running away from unit.
