3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
7 Jul 50: Conscripted at PYONGYANG, sent to an officers school, and received 1 month 4 days of training.
13 Aug 50: arrived in SARIWON (沙里院) and assigned to the Ind Recon Co which was attached directly to the newly organized 46th Ind Regt.
23 hug 50: arrived PYONGYANG and received 15 days of rifle training.
7 Sep 50: sent to TAEDONG GUN (大同郡), built barracks and dug fox holes.
10 Sep 50: arrived SUKCHON (肅川) built houses.
23 Sep 50: arrived in CHANGDAN (長端) and prepared for battle with US forces who landed at INCHON.
3 Oct 50: went to KAEJON (鷄井) and took up defensive positions.
15 Oct 50: near KAEJON they were attacked by US forces, unit suffered many casualties, and PW surrendered.

Unit History:
The 46th Ind regiment was organized at SARIWON in Aug with 3 Bns and an Ind Recon Co.
Disposition:
Soldiers of this unit are scattered and informant believes this unit is no longer organized.
Communications:
There were telephones used in the 46th Ind Regt.
Ind Recon Co, 1st Tank Bn and 3rd Automatic Rifle Bn.
Intentions:
Regt was originally to furnish replacements for the 635 unit, but this did not materialize because the 635 unit was annihilated.

46th Ind Regt Comdr, Lt Col HAN, Kuk Yon (韓國龍)
Morale and Propaganda:
Morale of the unit was low because most of the men were taken into the army before they finished civilian schooling. PW saw propaganda leaflets and thought of surrendering to US forces.
4. GENERAL:Ammo Dumps:
Informant saw ammo dumps at KANRI (間里) 25 Aug 50, heard there were ammo dumps in SOPO (西浦) and YONGSON (龍城). Ammo dump at KANRI was located in tunnels dug into a mountain about 150m high and 200m N of the KANRI RR Station. There were two ammo dumps on this mountain with 2 guards at each dump.
Government Office Information:
Informant heard that there was a government office in MOLANBO located in PYONGYANG. This was called the Central Government : (CHUO SEIFU)
