30 Jul 50 - Inducted to the 19th Brig (SUKCHON). Brig was a replacement unit. Received training for 2 months.
8 Aug 50 - Assigned to 2nd Sqd, 3rd Plat, 2nd Co, 2nd Bn, as Sqd Ldr, with grade of Jr Sgt.
5 Sep 50 - Brig was redesignated the 19th Div and stationed at SUKCHON until 5 Sep 50.
25 Sep 50 - Assigned to 3rd Co, 1st Bn, 1st Regt, 19th Div as a sqd ldr.
14 Oct 50 - Midnight, 1st Regt departed for 38 parallel. Arrived PAEKCHON Area 14 Oct 50.
14 Oct 50 - PW with 5 men of his command were captured by UN forces on the outskirts of PAEKCHON
Unit Organization and Strength:
19th Div is a replacement unit; 1st Regt Code-36.
Morale:
Lack of Food and Supplies lowered morale.
