T/O of I CORPS AND SUBJECT’S UNIT:The I Corps was composed of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th Inf Div’s, 16th Tank Brig, Corps Arty Regt and Corps Hq Security Bn.
The 7th Div was composed of the 51st Regt, 53rd Regt, 54th Regt, Arty Regt, Engr Bn, AT Bn, Trng Bn, Ren Co, and Guard Plat.
The Code Numbers are as follows:
7th Div - 851
51st Regt - 720
53rd Regt - 702
54th Regt - 703
Arty Regt - 710
These numbers are assigned by Corps Hq. All other units of the 7th Div had their code numbers assigned by Div Hq.
As of 052400 Oct 50, the strength of the 7th Div was about 4,000 men and officers, with the 51st Regt at POPKONG-RI, 53rd Regt at YANGCHI-RI, 54th Regt at SECHUNG-RI, Div Hq at HATUNG-RI. All other Div units were in the immediate area.
PW stated that POKONG-RI, YANGCHI-RI, SECHUNG-RI, AND HATUNG-RI was all within the radius of 10 km from CHONGSAN. 6th Div was also in CHONGSAN area.
PW stated that o/a 1 Oct 50, the 6th and 7th Div were supposed to gather at CHONG-SAN. Order came from I Corps Hq, through 6th Div because liaison between 7th Div and I Corps Hq was severed.

MISC INFORMATION:The 6th and 7th Div were supposed to regroup at CHO-SAN by 6 Oct 50.
There are no 11 and 14 Divisions.
The 6 div is in the CHONGSAN area; the strength is about 5,000 to 6,000 men.
The PW stated that unknown number of trucks, 76mm Field Guns and 122mm Howitzer were buried between SONGO and TONE-RI; exact location unknown. Ammo was also included in this burial.
There were no arty pieces in the 7th Div as of 27 Sep 50.
