3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
27 Jul 50 - Conscripted at HAEJU (海州), and assigned to 3rd Inf Co, 1st Bn, 77th Regt.
7 Aug 50 - Arrived in CHIWIYARI.
18 Aug 50 - Went back to HAEJU and received 20 days Inf training.
10 Oct 50 - Unit was ordered to YESON River Area.
12 Oct 50 - While onroute to YESON River PW deserted company and hid in mountains.
13 Oct 50 - Gave himself up to PAEKCHON police.
Unit Organization and Strength:
1st Bn, 77th Regt consisted of 450 men. Divided into 3 companies of 150 men each.
Last known composition of unit:
3rd Co - 148 men, 1 HMG, 3 LMG, 1 bazooka, 1 mortar.
1st Bn - 3 HMG’s, 9 LMG’s, 3 bazookas, 2 mortars (all Russian made).

Informant saw 3 Russian officers (2 Maj’s and 1 Lt) in HAEJU in Sep 50.
