3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
31 Jul 50: Conscripted and sent to Officers Training School at PYONGYANG for 13 days.
13 Aug 50: Commissioned Jr Lt and assigned to the 74th Regt at SINUIJU as plat ldr. Trained all new arrivals at this place for about one month.
9 Sep 50: Left SINUIJU by train for PYONGYANG, traveled on foot to CHANG PUN (Located between SANGNYONG and YONCHON).
11 Oct 50: Arrived CHANGPUN and encountered UN Forces. Unit retreated to SHINGYE.
15 Oct 50: Surrendered to ROK Forces at SHINGYE.

94th Replacement training Regt 6000 men (9 Bns)
Actual Battle Organization and Strength:
94th Regt (2,000 men) (3 Bns). The 94th Regt while located at SINUIJU was a Replacement Training Unit with 9 Bns. Strength was always about 6,000 men. All men were trained here for 15 days and sent out as replacements to various units while new men were conscripted.
Equipment:
LMG’S - 30; Submachine guns - 10. 80% of unit armed with rifles.
Unit History:
On 6 Sep 50 3 Bns (2,000 men) left SINUIJU and arrived CHANGPUN on 11 Oct 50 as the 94th Regt. Encountered UN forces on arrival at CHANGPUN and unit was believed to have retreated North.
Morale and Propaganda:
Morale low due to lack of food. Saw propaganda leaflets and surrendered with 6 others.
