3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
17 Feb 50 - PW was inducted at HAMHUNG (咸興) Received medical training until 23 Apr 50.
21 Jun 50 - Arrived at a mountain near 38° Parallel.
27 Jun 50 - Departed mountain near 38° Parallel - on foot, arrived CH’UNGCH’ON same day.
28 Jun 50 - Departed CH’UNGCH’ON - on foot - arrived SEOUL 30 Jun 50.
1 Jul 50 - Departed SEOUL - on foot - arrived KUMCH’ON (金泉) 5 Jul 50. PW was at KUMCH’ON for one month. He personally attended to one of the five American PsW in KUMCH’ON who were wounded by mortar shell. According to PW, the American PWs were not well treated by officers of the medical unit.
5 Aug 50 - Departed KUMCH’ON - on foot - arrived SINBANNI (新反里) 8 Aug 50. Captured 16 Sep 50.

Morale:
PW's morale high until SINBANNI because be had everything he needed since he was assigned to medics and spent most of the time on medical duties. Was sure that the NKPA will win the war.
The Effect of Experimental Fragmentation Bomb:
Between 10 Jul 50 and 15 Jul 50, US B-29’s dropped bombs in KUMCH’ON. PW heard from various sources that the bombs inflicted more damage than all previous bombs.
