13 EM (Medic & Supply soldiers) 4 officers and 2 nurses gave themselves up to the American troops on 17 Sep 50 after they made a decision to surrender.
PW was cooperative but information was limited because he was a rear echelon officer. He received his commission because he was a movie projector operator.
LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNITS: (As of 16 Sep 50)2nd Division Headquarter was located 100 meters south of TONKONG NI (덕공리).
Artillery Regiment was located 3 Km south of a broken bridge which crossed the NAKTONG River in a mountain.
2nd Division's mission was to take CHANGNYONG.
PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:Inducted, 6 Mar 50 at HAMHUNG.
Received no training. PW was in charge of the movie theater. Departed HAMHUNG 6 June and arrived SANGONG NI 11 Sep 50.

REPLACEMENTS:PW stated that he saw 100 replacements (North Korean & South Korean) in the Artillery Regiment at KUMCHON on d/u Aug 50. Recruits did not have any training.
FOOD & AMMO SUPPLIES:PW stated that ammo supplies came from Corps supply center. Location unknown. Supplies were brought in by civilians usually by night within their personal luggage.
US PW'S:PW saw American PW's at the following places:
CHONGJU: 2 or 3, Jul 50
KUMCHON: 17 or 18, Jul 50
CHIRYE: 10, Aug 50
HYOPCHON: 10 or 11, Sep 50
After crossing NAKTONG River: 20 Sep 50.
PW believes these PW's were to be sent to PYONGYANG (HEIJO).
