PW intelligent and cooperative. PW was wounded in the abdomen and not able to move but answered questions to the best of ability. Interrogation discontinued due to PW's discomfort.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
15 Jul 48 - Inducted at P'YONGYANG into the Ind Brigade, 3rd Bn, 9th Co, 2nd Plt, 2nd Sqd. Received 6 months basic training consisting of political indoctrination, rifle marksmanship, manual of arms, military courtesy and combat tactics. Fired on the range 4 times. Issued weapons during this period.
Mar 49 - Ind Brigade transferred to SARIWON (沙里院).
Oct 49 - Transferred to HWACHON (花田) Ind Brigade assigned to the 3rd Div.
14 Jun 50 - 3rd Div departed HWACHON. 3rd Div original strength was about 10,000 men. 3rd Div was composed of 7th, 8th, 9th Regts.
25 Jun 50 - PW’s 9th Regt crossed 38° Parallel with 7th and 8th Regts on the right flank. Passed thru UIJONGBU (議政府) 27 Jun 50. Marched, arrived 6 km N of SEOUL 28 Jun 50, where the 9th Regt joined with the 8th Regt. 7th Regt stayed in SEOUL. 8th and 9th Regt departed SEOUL 30 Jun 50, crossed HAN River, fought and arrived at SUWON (水原) 15 Jul 50.
15 Jul 50 - Departed SUWON and arrived CH'ONAN (天安) 18 Jul 50.
18 Jul 50 - Departed CH'ONAN, arrived YONGDONG (永同) 30 Jul 50, via T'AEJON (大田).
1 Aug 50 - PW was wounded in right foot and right hand by artillery fragments. Received medical attention at YONGDONG Hospital.
16 Aug 50 - Discharged from hospital.
21 Aug 50 - Rejoined 9th Regt at place unknown. Departed 31 Aug 50, to place of combat.
10 Sep 50 - PW was wounded in the abdomen and went to a village. Captured by ROK Army (1147.6-1447.6) 15 Sep 50.
