2nd Div composed of three (3) rifle regiments, Signal Bn, Engr Bn, Med Bn, AT Tank Regt, SP Gun Bn and Training Bn.
One Rifle Rest composed of three (3) Rifle Bns, Mortar Co, HMG Co, Med Plat, Signal Plat, Supply Plat, and AT Tank Plat (as of 20 June 49).
Mortar Company: approx 40 men
HMG Company: approx 30 to 40 men
Equipment: 4 x HMG's
Signal Platoon: approx 16 men
Supply Platoon: approx 10 men
AT Tank Platoon: approx 30 men
Medical Platoon: approx 8 men
LOCATION & ACTIVITIES OF UNITS:Medical Company was always located about 4 to 6 km at rear of 17th Regt, 2nd Div.
PEPSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:Inducted on 16 Oct 49 at HAMHUNG.
Received medical training while attending an Army Hospital located in HAMHUNG, from 16 Aug 49 to 15 June 50.
Departed HAMHUNG 15 June 50 arrived HYOPCHON 25 Aug 50.
From HYOPCHON, Medic Co crossed NAKTONG River with 17th Regt 2nd Div on 31 Aug 50.
After crossing NAKTONG River, PW’s unit (Medic Co) was separated from 17th Regt. PW and 10 other stragglers surrendered to ROK troops and they were handed over to US troops on 171600 K Sep 50 (approx 8 km West of CHANGNYONG).

REPLACEMENTS:Med Co, 17th Regt received 20 S.K. replacements from Med Bn attached to 2nd Div.
PW heard fran the replacements that they received only l week Inf basic training.
ARMOR & ARTILLERY:PW observed 4 x self-propelled artillery pieces crossing the NAKTONG River West of CHANGNYONG on 31 Aug 50.
US PW'S:After crossing the NAKTONG River, Med Co handled two (2) US PW’s who were wounded. They were sent to Med Bn, 2nd Div on 9 Sep 50. Med Bn was located West of NAKTONG River (location unknown).
