3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
30 Sep 49 - PW was inducted into the NKA at CHINNAMP’O. Commissioned directly to Sr Lt (大尉) in the 4th Div and assigned as Chief of the 4th Div Fruit Orchard. It was a policy of NKA Divisions to raise their own fruit.
16 Jun 50 - The 4th Div departed CHINNAMP’O for a point near the 38th parallel.
O/a 30 Jun 50 - PW departed CHINNAMP’O
O/a 4 Jul 50 - Arrived SEOUL. Here PW became the Div Supply Officer. His principle duty was to channel supply from the Corps Supply to the 4th Div Supply and to see that supplies destined for the 4th Div did not get routed elsewhere.
6 Jul 50 - PW departed SEOUL. Arrived in KONGJU, 10 Jul 50.
15 Jul 50 - Arrived in TAEJON. At this time the 4th Div was in combat in the vicinity of SINBAN-Ni (新文里). The Div Supply unit was then located to HYOPCH’ON. PW as in TAEJON with Corps Supply and acted as the 4th Div Supply liaison officer.
13 Sep 50 - Promoted to Major
23 Sep 50 - Preparation for evacuation of Corps Supply was made. All Corps supplies were loaded on train.
24 Sep 50 - PW heard that the supplies were to be hidden in a tunnel near OKCH’ON.
PW departed TAEJON and started to toward CH’UNGJU with about 30 EM.
27 Sep 50 - Surrendered to ROK troops at a point 24 km NE of TAEJON.
