PW was attached to the NKA for 2 days and then deserted.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
12 Sep 50 - Conscripted into the NKA at SEOUL, commissioned as a Lt (中尉), and was assigned to ANDONG (安東) Independent Brigade as Chief of Veterinary Section.
14 Sep 50 - Deserted and went into hiding with 7 other students.
23 Sep 50 - Came out of hiding to guard the Veterinary College after the NKA set fire to the school buildings which had been used as temporary storage for provisions clothing.
27 Sep 50 - UN Forces entered SEOUL, went into hiding because he was accused of being a member of the NKA.
4 Oct 50 - The 8 members who went into hiding after being ordered to proceed to their respective units gathered and discussed surrendering to the UN Forces but 7 men backed out and only PW surrendered to the Police unit. The remaining 7 members (all Lt’s 中尉) are now remaining SEOUL as students of the Veterinary College of SEOUL National University.
