3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
20 Jul 50 - Conscripted at HAMHUNG (咸興). Went to PYONGYANG (平壞), and assigned to military school. Upon graduation became a Jr Lt.
15 Aug 50 - Arrived at NAMCHONJON (南川).
28 Aug 50 - PW assigned to newly activated 26th Brig - 2nd Inf Co, 3rd HMG Bn, and gave training consisting of close order drill to his plat.
1 Sep 50 - 3rd HMG Bn arrived at NUCHON-RI. No weapons. PW gave training in close order drill and explained the fundamental point of a rifle to the men of his plat. 26th Brig Hqs still at NAMCHONJON.
26 Sep 50 - 3rd HMG Bn, arrived CHICHON-NI. At CHICHON-NI, 3rd HMG Bn took defensive positions.
5 Oct 50 - 3rd HMG Bn, encountered ROK Army, and the entire Bn was completely disorganized and began to retreat. PW and two others surrendered voluntarily.

4. GENERALPW stated that during his service with NKA, movements of other units, and UN forces movements were kept secret, there fore, unit personnel did not know what kind of obstacles were ahead of them. Had the men been told, there would have been many more desertions.
