MILITARY HISTORY:5 Jul 50 - Inducted at HAMHUNG (咸興) and attached to 75th Regt.
20 Sep 50 - 75th Regt departed HAMHUNG.
30 Sep 50 - Arrived UIJONGBU (議政府).
1 Oct 50 - 75th Regt engaged in battle and retreated to YONGCHON (連村).
7 Oct 50 - 75th Reg retreated from YONGCHON to INCHON (伊川).
10 Oct 50 - 75th Regt was again engaged in battle at ICHON. PW shot himself in arm and deserted from unit.
17 Oct 50 - 75th Regt retreated to MANSAN (萬山).
26 Oct 50 - PW captured.
WEAPONS AND PERSONNEL:a. Organization: 75th Regt was composed of 3 Inf Bns, Arty Bn, Comm Co, Automatic Rifle Co, Medical Co, Transportation Co, Reconn Plat, Security Plat, Engr Plat, AA MG Plat, and a Cavalry Plat.
Each Inf Bn was composed of 2 Inf Cos and a HMG Co. Each Arty Bn was composed of 120mm, 76mm and 45mm Arty Cos.
b. Strength: 80 men in HMG Co, 120 men in Inf Co, 40 men in 120mm Arty Co, 40 men in 76mm Arty Co, and 40 men in 45mm Arty Co.
c. Weapons: 200 automatic rifles, 6 HMGs, 2 X 120mm guns, 5 X 76mm guns, 3 X 45mm guns, 15 X LMGs, and 6 X AA guns. Each man was issued a rifle with 80 rds of ammo. Those with automatic rifles 210 rds of ammo. In addition, all men were issued one hand grenade.
TRANSFORMATION OF AMMO:Ammo was transported by 10 trucks.
CLOTHING SUPPLY:Each man was issued only one set of winter clothing and one pair of winter shoes.
FOOD SUPPLY:Food was procured locally and men ate one ball of rice once or twice a day.

Most of the arty guns were damaged at the battle of UIJONGBU (議政府). The unit was practically unequipped when they arrived at YONCHON (連村). Strength of unit when it retreated to YONCHON was about one Bn.
FOREIGN ELEMENTS:2 Russian Lt Cols and 1 Maj wearing crimson epaulets and acting as advisors were observed at Regtl Hqs.
CODE NUMBERS:75th Regt was the 578 Unit.
