3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
2 Nov 49: Conscripted into the army and assigned to the Investigation Section at HAEJU as a clerk.
17 Oct 50: Investigation Section was ordered to retreat.
19 Oct 50: Surrendered to UN forces.
Unit Organization & Strength:
There were seven men in the Investigation Section. Five officers and two enlisted men, with one female secretary. A Lt Col commanded the Investigation Section which was attached to the cabinet of N Korea.
Unit Duties:
Were to investigate personnel working for the government, whether anti- or pro-communist. The members of the Investigation Section have power to discharge personnel who are anti-communist.
Personalities:
Chief of Investigation Section - LEE, Chung Su, Lt Col. Graduate of Supreme Investigator Training School at PYONGYANG.
Supreme Investigation Section Chief - CHUN, Hae Uri, no rank.
