3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
4 Jul 50 - PW was conscripted in NANAM (羅南) and received 20 days training.
29 Jul 50 - Assigned to a Comm Plat.
4 Aug 50: PW’s unit departed NANAM and arrived at WONSAN (元山) 4 days later.
16 Aug 50 - Reassigned to 249th Brig as Jr Sgt.
18 Aug 50 - PW and 4 men left for YONGDOK (永德).
3 Sep 50 - Commissioned Lt.
19 Oct 50 - PW and 4 men retreated to SONGCHON (成川), where he surrendered.

Communications:
The 249th Brig was equipped with 113 field telephones and with 2 central switchboards, in addition to 4 dual-purpose (radio and telegraph) wireless sets. PW stated that to perate the communication system effectively, the 249th Brig needed 200 field phones and 12 wireless sets.
