PW surrendered voluntarily to elements of 21st RCT. Was in good physical condition. PW was cooperative and of average intelligence. Information obtained it considered fairly reliable. PW was a laborer at a Korean factory prior to service. Not recommended for further interrogation.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
PW was drafted into the NK Army on 6 Oct 46 at HUNGNAN and was assigned to 2nd Div, 3rd Regt, 1st Bn. Remained there until Jun 47. PW was reassigned to 1st Div, 1st Regt, 2nd Bn, HMG Co at SINUIJU and remained there until Jun 48. During period Jun 48 to Jun 50, PW’s unit (1st Div) was stationed at the following places: CHAERYONG, HAEJU. On 5 Jun 50, the 1st Div moved South to an unknown place. At this time PW was reassigned to the 43rd Div, 74th Regt, 1st Bn, HMG Co and remained at HAEJU until they were attacked by UN Forces on 9 Oct 50. PW surrendered on 20 Oct 50.

Disposition:
43rd Div CP moved to HWANGJU on 16 Oct 50. 74th Regt, 75th Regt, and 76th Regt CP was also located at HWANGJU. PW also stated that Ammo and Arms dump is located at HWANGJU.
Intentions:
PW stated that if 43rd Div retreats from HWANGJU, its route of retreat wil lbe PYONGYANG, ANJUN and SINUIJU.
Knowledge of Other Units:
On 14 Oct 50, PW heard from his Company Commander that the 41st Div, 37th Div and 32nd Div were located at CHOLSAN (124.6-39.7) 1:1,000,000 map, SONGCHON (124.8-39.7), KUSONG (125.2-39.95), CHONGSAN ANGSI (125.5-40), ONJUNG (125.9-40.1), KUNU-RI (125.9-39.7) and SINANJU (125.6-39.6).
