3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
2 Sep 50: Commissioned Sr Lt and assigned to the Field Telephone Maintenance Section of Adv Hqs GHQ. Moved as far south as KUMCHON. Later with the Adv Hqs he retreated to CHORWON by way of SANJU, CHINGJU, WONJU and KUMHWA.
5 Oct 50: PW was transferred to the Defense (West Adv GHA) Hqs. Communications Section as Chief of the Wire Maintenance Section. Promoted to Lt Col.
14 Oct 50: At CHANGHWA the Defense Hqs and Adv Hq became one and retreated to PYONGYANG.
18 Oct 50: Surrendered with 150 others at YONGJU.

The Defense Hqs was responsible for the control of West Korea after the invasion of INCHON. East Korean was under Adv Hqs.

Unit Duties:
Supervision of all communications and maintenance of communication between GHQ and Div Hqs.
Unit History:
Gen Hqs directly under NKA Hqs at PYONGYANG was changed to road Defense Hqs after the invasion of INCHON. This defense Hqs was responsible for the defense of West Korea. Believes it retreated to PYONGYANG O/a 14 Oct 50.

Foreign Elements:
Observed 2 Russian Officers with the Comm Sec of Adv Hqs. They were the advisers and went as far as KUMCHON. Last saw them on 5 Oct 50 at CHORWON. One was called (KULIKUP) (クリコツプ) who joined unit at SANGJU on Sep 50. Believes he arrived from Russia recently. One who was called YUSIZEPU (ユ氵ヴツブ) was with Advance Hqs from the outbreak of hostilities.
