8 Jul 50: PW was conscripted at PYONGYANG and sent to Officer Training School for 25 days.
2 Aug 50: Commissioned Jr Lt and sent to HAEJU.
10 Aug 50: Assigned to the 97th Regt Hq as Assignment Officer.
15 Aug 50: 97th Regt moved to CHWIYA RI.
10 Oct 50: PW was told by Regt CO to go to SARIWON.
17 Oct 50: Surrendered at CHAERYONG instead of going to SARIWON

Unit History:
8 Aug 50 - 97th Ind Regt was origanized at HAEJU. Most of the men were farmers.
15 Aug 50 - Unit moved to CHWIYA RI.
10 Aug 40 - 97th Ind Regt became a part of 43rd Div.
17 Oct 50 - Unit retreated north.
Knowledege of other Units:
After the 97th Ind Regt consisting of 9 Bns became a part of 43rd Div 6 Bns were sent to SONGCHON o/a 8 Oct 50 to organize a new Div.
