3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
1 Dec 46 - Volunteered at KAECHON, assigned to 1st Div.
10 Oct 48 - Unit arrived at PYONGYANG.
12 Oct 48 - Was promoted to Sr Sgt and assigned to Ammo Section.
27 May 49 - Was commissioned as Jr Lt and assigned to the Eng Bn of the 1st Div.
18 Sep 49 - Arrived at NAMCHON JON with 1st Div Hq.
20 Jun 50 - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Regt of 1st Div advanced to the 38th Parallel.
30 Jun 50 - 1st Div entered SEOUL.
1 Sep 50 - 1st Div arrived at KAYA-SAN.
25 Sep 50 - Unit suffered heavy losses and retreated toward CHUNGJU. All elements were scattered.
5 Oct 50 - PW and his plat retreated to YANGDOK. 1st Div started reorganizing but only one Regt could be organized.
9 Oc 50 - 1st Div arrived at NAJON NI still under strength. Men from former 249 Brig and 5th Security Brig of 3rd Army were taken to bring the 1st Div up to TO/&E.
