PW talked freely but could not give much information of value. Information fairly reliable.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
3 May 48: Volunteered at TUNG HUA (動化) (MANCHURIA) into the 8th Route Army Volunteer Corps. Received training and engaged in battle against the Chinese Nationalist Army until Oct 49. Assigned to the Ind Arty Bn, 21st Div, 44th Corps stationed at CHOLYONG.
19 Jul 50: Received orders from Div to go to PYONGYANG (平壤) and assigned to the Arty Bn, 107 Security Unit as Chief of Staff.
25 Aug 50: Left PYONGYANG (平壤).
29 Aug 50: Arrived at KANGHUA DO as a Security Unit for this island. Established defensive positions.
18 Sep 50: 107 Security Unit was ordered to retreat to KEJONG (鷄中).
8 Oct 50: As the 107 Security Unit reached the 38∘parallel N of KAESONG (芥城) 3 Inf Bns were left at the parallel while the 107 Security Unit Hq & Arty Bn went to YONGPUK MYON (永北面) on 12 Oct 50.
13 Oct 50: Arty Bn and 107 Security Unit were attacked by ROK Force and dispersed. PW hid in the mountains for 3 days then surrendered to the YONGPUK-MYON Police on 16 Oct 50.

107 (Security Unit) Rgt. Arty Bn (322 men). Arty Bn consisted of Supply Co, Ammo Co, Comm Co, Medical Co.
Last Known Composition of Unit:
107 (Security Unit) Regt, is believed to have been annihilated at YOUNG BUK-MYON o/a 14 Oct 50. (永北面)
Equipment in Arty Bn as of 18 Sept 50:
14 x trucks, 10 x 57mm Arty (110 rds each), 28 x Rifles (100 rds each).

Unit History:
Unit organized at PYONYANG (平壤) o/a 25 Jul 50. Was sent to KANGHUA Do for Security of island. Unit left 18 Sep 50 and at YONG BUK-MYON believed to have been annihilated.

Morale & Propaganda:
Morale low due to lack of equipment.
4. GENERAL:PW while with the 21st Div at CHOLLYONG (鐵嶺) was told by the 24th Regt CO that all Koreans should go over to N Korea and fight. PW and 9 others were picked by the Regt CO to go to PYONGYANG (平壤).
PW knows that several units of Koreans under the 8th Route Army had left MANCHURIA. Number & date unknown.
