6 Jul 50 - Conscripted into NKA at P'YONGYANG assigned 17th Armored Div. P'YONGYANG. Received one (1) month basic military training.
o/a 6 Aug - Promoted to Cpl (clerk).
19 Aug - 17th Armored Div left P'YONGYANG.
5 Sep - Arrived UIHUNG (義興) area via SEOUL. WONJU (原州), CHECH’ON (堤川), YONGJU (榮州), ANDONG (安東).
o/a 2 Sep - PW promoted to M/Sgt (Librarian).
20 Sep - Ind 1st Tank Bn (12% - 34/85 medium tank) began withdrawal, UISONG (義城) Area.
23 Sep - Arrived ANDONG. 6 tanks remaining, Ind 1st tank bn continued its withdrawal northward.
24 Sep - Ind 1st tank bn arrived YONGJU. Remaining tanks destroyed by US Air. PW separated from unit.
28 1200 K Sep - PW surrendered 12 km southeast of P'UNGGI to ROK army units.
