8 Oct 48: Volunteered for the NKA. Entered the 5th Co, 2nd Bn, 6th Regt, 2nd Div at NANAM (羅南)
3 Dec 48: Promoted to Sgt and assigned as Sqd Ldr.
5 May 49: Promoted to Sr Sgt and assigned as Ass’t Plt ldr.
17 Jun 50: Commissioned Jr Lt and assigned to ⅠCorps Hq as Liaison officer. At that time ⅠCorps Hq was activaed at P’YONGYANG (平壤).
25 Jun 50: ⅠCorps Hq at UIJONGBU (議政府).
29 Jun 50: ⅠCorps Hq at SEOUL (서울).
4 Jul 50: ⅠCorps Hq at SUWON (水原).
9 Jul 50: ⅠCorps Hq at P’YONGT’AK (平澤).

ⅠCorps consisted of the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th Divs. The 16th Tank Brigade had 1,000 men, Motor-cycle Regt - 1,200 men, Engr Co - 120 men, Sig Bn - 150 men, Guard Bn - 45 men, Operation Sec - 12 men, Liaison Sec - 35 men, Intelligence Sec - 4 men, Personnel Sec - 3 men, Political Sec - 5 men, Column Sec - 2 men, Intendance Sec - 20 men, Medical Sec - 6 men, Recon Sec - 35 men, Military court - 4 men, and the Army Service Sec - 7 men.
