Cooperative, PW was in pain from a wounded hand. Information seems to be reliable.
T/O & E AND STRENGTH: II Corps, 10th Div, 25th Regt.25th Regt (code. No 747) composed of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Rifle Bns, Medical Co, 120mm Mortar Co, 76mm Gun Co, 45mm Gun Co, SMG Co, Transportation Co, Guard Plat, Military Band Plat, Anti-aircraft Plat, and HMG Co.
Personnel, approx 1,800 originally.
LOCATION & ACTIVITIES OF UNITS:25th Regt, 10th Div was at OKYE DONG (as of 3 Oct 50) and was proceeding through the mountains in a northeasterly direction to the 38th parallel, north of which the Regt planned to regroup with other units as soon as possible. Route of withdrawal was along the TAE BAEK mountain.
PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:Inducted on 12 Dec 47, at NANAM, into the 2nd Div, 6th Regt, 3rd Bn.
Arrived at HAMHUNG o/a 29 Jul 49.
PW and 100 others entered the PYONGYANG Officers' Academy (OCS), graduating in May 50 with rank of Lt.
An unknown number of graduates were assigned to Navy, Inf, Arty, Signal, and Armored Units.
Arrived at SUKCHON on 21 May 50, assigned to the 10th Div, 25th Regt, 45mm Gun Co, as Asst Co CO.
Arrived KAEPO DONG o/a 30 Aug 50 (4400-3950)
Retreated with the 25th Regt from KAEPO DONG o/a 30 Sep 50, arriving at OKYE DONG on 3 Oct 50. Having picked an ROK "Safe Conduct Pass", PW surrendered with 37 EM to ROK soldiers.
