PW was cooperative but illiterate. Dates and place names could not be remembered. He is very unfamiliar with the military service and was unable to furnish info on units other than his own platoon.
This report is the result of five (5) hours interrogation. The PW was first interrogated for 2 hours on 23 Nov 50, the results were negligible. He was further interrogated on 24 Nsv 50 and this limited report is the product.
Information seems very unreliable.
3. T/O & E OF UNIT:35th Army was composed of 3 Inf divisions. Each Inf Division was composed of an unknown number of Inf Regts.
Each Inf Regiment was composed of 3 Inf Battalions.
Each Inf Battalion was composed of 4 rifle companies.
Other info pertaining to T/O & E was unknown,
2nd Platoon, 3rd Co, 1st Bn, 1st Regt:

4. LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNIT:The 3rd Company was in combat in the YONGDONG-NI area, o/a 14 Nov 50.
The entire 35th Army was in this general area. Corps headquarters was believed to be located approx 10 km from the battle line. No location available. This Corps had been in combat for 4 days, until 18 Nov 50.
5. PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:Conscripted o/a 5 Jun 48 into the CNA 4th Co, 2nd Bn, 392nd Regt, 131st Div on HAINAN ISLAND.
43 men of 4th Co were captured 2 Feb 50 by the CCF during the invasion of HAINAN ISLAND.
Traveled as POW until Jul 50 when he was assigned to the present unit at KAIYUAN (開原) MANCHURIA.
Received one Month training there.
The 1st Battalion departed KAIYUAN (開原) 2 Oct 50 by train and arrived at an unknown point approx 2 days later.
On 18 Nov 50, the PW surrendered.
