These units stored rail supplies enroute to P'YONGYANG in RR tunnels etc to protect against daylight air attacks. The 1st Bn was stationed at KANRI (5 mi N PYONGYANG) along SHINGISHU-PYONGYANG Rail line but on 25 Sep due to RR bridges along CHONGCHON Fiver being bombed the bulk of supplies now come via MANPOJIN-P'YONGYANG Rail line, therefore the 1st Bn transferred to YONGSUN (4 mi NE P'YONGYaNG) to unload supplies.
