3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
25 Jun 50: Conscripted at CHINNAMP'O and assigned to the CHINNAMP'O Marine Brig as a machinist.
10 Sep 50: Commissioned Jr Lt and assigned to Bn Repair section.
18 Oct 50: Bn started retreating to N from CHINNAMP'O.
20 Oct 50: PW and fellow soldier started retreating CHINNAMP'O on foot.
22 Oct 50: Captured at SUNAN.
Unit Organization and Strength:
239 CHINNAMP'O Marine Brigade (6,200 men) - composed of 9 Bns (700 men).
Equipment in Bn (as of 18 Oct 50):
2 × 45mm guns, 18 × HMG, 36 × LMG, 152 × SMG, 1 × lathe 132 cm long.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION:PW while working at the Bn repair shop noticed that the Russian M1891/30 rifle's firing pin would always crack. Everytime a company would go on a firing range at least two or three rifles' firing pins would crack.
The Russian PPs M1943 & PPsh M1941 sub-machine guns defects were as follows:
Magazine spring would break. The trigger springs were made so weak that they would not snap the trigger back to position. The ejector would crack.
Maxim HMG M1910 (on SOKOLOV Mount) - the firing pin was always breaking at the point.
Replacements of the above mentioned parts were not available so all of the broken parts were welded in Bn machine shop.
