ORGANIZATION: Chinese Peoples Libreration Army (中國人民解放軍), 4th Field Army (第四野戰軍), 38th Army (38軍), 112th Div (112師), 335th Regt (335团) 2nd Bn (2營), 4th Co Hg (4連).

DATE & PLACE OF CAPTURE: 090900 1 Nov 50, at PINO SAN (BV 0301)
INTERROGATOR: G.W.A.

2. ASSESSMENT:
Cooperative. PW seemed to be in good physical condition. PW's responsibility was to teach Chinese characters to men in each platoon of the 4th Co, 33tth Regt. During combat he acted as a litter-bearer. Therefore his title of Ass't Plat Officer is misleading. Chinese writing instructors in the CCF are given the title of Ass't Plat Officer until they have proved themselves capable of handling their job efficiently. Thereafter they are given the title of Plat Officer. This title is not to be confused with that of Plat Ldr., who is the troop leader at platoon level.
Information appears to be reliable and is quite detailed.
Recommended for further interrogation.
