PW was in good physical condition at time of interrogation.
Reliability of the information seems fairly good.

112th Division composed of 3 × Infantry Regiments; 333rd, 334th and 335th.
335th Regiment composed of 3 × Infantry Battalions, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 3rd Battalion composed of 3 × Companies; 1st Co (Inf Co), 2nd Co (HMG Co) and 3rd Co (artillery Co).
2nd Company composed of 3 × HMG Platoons; 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
3rd Platoon composed of 3 × HMG squads; 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
2nd Company - EM 150 - Officers 3 - Total 153 - HMG 3 (2,000 rds) - LMG 3 (2,000 rds).
1st Company - EM 150 - Officers 3 - Total 153 - M38 model rifle 150 (100 rds) - Grenades 4 per man - Pistol unknown.
3rd Company (Artillery Co) - EM and Officers - Approx 150 - 60 mm Gun - 6 (40 rds per).

PW did not see any NK personnel in PW is unit either before or after crossing the YALU River.
PW's unit was intact and under same chain of command as it was prior to crossing the YALU River.
Troops from PW's unit have never been integrated into Korean Units.
There was no artillery support available to this unit other than regimental guns (60 mm gun) in Korea. There was no vehicle in PW's unit.
Present and former Chinese Communist unit was the same.

LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNITS:
After the 355th Regiment crossed the YALU River between ANTUNG (MANCHURIA) and SINUIJU (KOREA) on 26 Oct 50, 3rd Battalion advanced eastward from SINUIJU and arrived at a mountain (location unknown) after marching seven (7) days.
PW could not give detailed information about his unit's location and activities in Korea because it travelled during the night and hid in mountains during the day.
PW heard from his Company Commander (2nd Co, 3rd Bn, 335th Regt, 112th Div) that the entire 335th Regiment arrived in the vicinity of a mountain (location unknown) on 2 Nov 50.
Between 2 to 8 Nov 50, troops dug fox holes and hid in the mountains. During the battle with UN troops on 8 and 9th Nov 50, the 2nd Company was disorganized by air attacks and the PW and an unknown number of troops were captured on 9 Nov 50.
Objective of PW's unit unknown. It was in defensive positions until the day PW surrendered, 9 Oct 50.
No information on other CCF units entering Korea.

PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted into Nationalist Army on d/u Sep 45 at FUNA SHENG (湖南省). Served with the Nationalist Army from Sep 45 to Jul 48. Captured by CCF on d/u Jul 48 at CHINJU (錦州).
Served with CCF (168th Div) at SHENYANG (瀋陽) from Jul 48 to Aug 49.
In Aug 49 the 168th Division was redesignated as the 112th Division. It remained in SHENTAN until Sep 49 and then was transferred back to CHINCHOU (錦州). Stationed in CHINCHOU from Sep 49 to 15 Oct 50.
335th Regiment of 112th Division, departed from Korea on 15 Oct 50 and crossed the YALU River on 26 Oct 50.
PW stated that one of the Regiment from the 112th Division participated in the invasion of HAINAN Island. He believed that the unit did not have any radar controlled artillery nor proximity fuses.

FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Troops of 335th Regiment, 112th Division, brought over four (4) days ration (bread and rice cake) when they crossed the YALU River on 26 Oct 50. After their ration was exhausted, food was obtained from farmers' homes.
Ammo: 2nd Company (HMG Company) had one issue of 1,000 rds per gun (3 × HMG and 3 × LMG) up to the day they were attacked by UN troops, 9 Oct 50.

SIGNAL COMMUNICATION:
Field telephones (No. unknown) were used in each company of PW's unit.

MORALE:
Morale of PW's unit (2nd Company) was low due to lack of food and constant air attacks.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
PW claims that he volunteered for Korean service.
PAY RATE:
Pvt (戰士) received 80,000 Yuan
Platoon Leader received 100,000 Yuan
Company Commander received 200,000 Yuan
