2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative and of average intelligence. Reliability - fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
8 Jul 50: PW was inducted, sent to P'yongyang OCS. 82mm Mortar training.
21 Jul 50: Graduated 2d Jr Lt, attached to 19th Brig, 3rd Bn, Mortar Co in SUKCHON (YD 2565).
22 Jul 50: Became Lt and Co Comdr. Trained his company (at night) on mortar and infantry tactics.
10 Sep 50: 19th Brig redesignated 19th Div and PW became 1st Co Comdr, AA Bn.
13 Sep 50: Received orders to move south.
19 Sep 50: Reached MULGAE-RI (BT 6750) and dug in.
10 Oct 50: Ordered to retreat north, but PW's company was ordered to defend HUNGSU RI Pass (BT 4161) at all costs. PW lost his courage while on the hill and led his men east and released them to go home.
29 Oct 50: Captured at SINANJU.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION:
Buried Ammo
Approx 17 - 18 boxes of AA MG ammo were buried on a field 2 km W of the MULGAE RI RR sta. PW believes that the boxes are still there as this unit retreated soon after.
A 1 m × 5 m × 3 m deep hole was dug and ammo boxes piled to within 30 cm of the surface. 3 inch (diameter) limbs were placed on top of hole as covering and dirt scattered over it.
The area was flat and devoid of any vegetation.
Observation was made 7 Oct 1950.
