Inducted, 3 Apr 46, at TUNGHWA (東化) Manchuria.
From Apr 46 to 21 Jul 48, PW was with the TUNGHWA Constabulary Unit.
Jul 48 to 26 May 49, PW was assigned to the 11th Div of Chinese People's Army at Changohu, Manchuria.
On 26 May 49, PW and approx 200 other Koreans in Chinese People's Army departed Changohun by rail and arrived at SINUIJU, Korea, 29 May 49. After arriving at SINUIJU, the 200 troops received two months of basic Inf training. On 27 Jul 49, they (200 men) departed by rail for NANAM, arriving on 29 Jul 49. Upon reaching NANAM, the 200 men were assigned to the N Korean 5th Div.
At NANAM, PW received about 11 months of HMG training.
On 25 Jun 50, the entire 5th Div. departed NANAM.
While traveling to POHANG-DONG from NANAM, the following places were passed:

While PW was talking wounded troops to his unit (10th Regt), they were attacked by unk ROK troops at a point 20 km SW of POHANG DONG, on 13 0600 K Sep 50.
Since PW knew that they didn’t stand a chance, he surrendered to the ROK troops.
6. FOOD & AMMO SUPPLES:Ammo was last received at YANGYANG on 29 Jun 50 (100 rds per man).
Ammo was brought by trucks, from YANGYANG on main road. (Frequency, unk).
In latter part of Aug 50, 2nd Bn received approx 200 replacements at a point 10 km NW of POHANG-DONG ares.
7. ENEMY INTENTIONS:10th Regt, 5th Div, objective was POHANG-DONG Airfield via mountain trails.
MORALE:
Due to the shortage of man power, morale in PW’s unit, 5th Div, 10th Regt, 2nd Bn, was low.
