PW was very cooperative but an observant. Information seems unreliable due to limited service.

Inducted 8 Jul 50 at HAEJU (海州).
Trained as rifleman at HAEJU (approx 12 days).
3rd Bn, 3rd Regt, 7th Div, (approx 700 - 800 men).
Departed HAEJU, 29 Jul 50, by train, arrived SEOUL, 3 Aug 50.
Departed SEOUL, 6 Aug 50, by truck and marching, passed through PYONGTAEK, TAEJON, KOCHANG, CHINGJU and arrived in vicinity of HAMAN (咸安), 7 Sep 50.
PW’s unit travelled mostly during the night.
6. ARTILLERY:Observed three (3) 76mm guns with the 3rd Regt, 7th Div, at CHOCHIWON (鳥致院) on or about 14 Aug 50.
7. FOOD & AMMO SUPPLIES:After the unit departed SEOUL on 8 Aug 50, they secured their food from the occupied areas as they advanced south.
PW received one (1) issue of 70 rds when they left SEOUL. He did not fire his rifle, but threw away his ammo before he was captured.
8. REPLACEMENTS:Received no replacements.
PW observed, on many occasions, wounded personnel being sent to the rear for medical treatment.
9. ENEMY INTENTIONS:Objective of his unit at the time of his capture was PUSAN via HAMAN.
Troops in his unit were told to fight to the last and never surrender.
10. MORALE:Morale of PW’s unit was very low due to long night marches and lack of food. When they saw US tanks in HAMAN on 11 Sep 50 they threw away their rifles and ammo.
11. US PW’S:Observed about 200 US PW's in SEOUL on 13 Aug 50.
