PW and a fellow soldier were captured by the ROK troops 12 Km east of YONGCHON after his Company was annihilated on 12 Sep 50.
PW was talkative and gave vague answers.
He was also unobservant.

DISPOSITION OF ABOVE UNITS:
PW believes that the 15th Division was annihilated.
PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted d/u Apr 50 at SASU RI (사수里).
Received 2 months of basic infantry training at HOERYONG.
Departed HOERYONG d/u Jun 50, railroad, arrived CHORWON d/u Jun 50. Departed CHORWON d/u Jun 50. All PW knows was that he arrived at a point 12 Km east of YONGCHON on 10 Sep 50 because he only travelled at night. 12 Sep 50, PW was captured.
REPLACEMENTS:
PW stated that there was an unknown number of replacements in his unit (no further information).
ENEMY INTENTIONS:
Mission of PW’s unit was to proceed to PUSAN.
MORALE:
Morale of PW’s Company low, because they lacked weapons and food.
CAPTURED EQUIPMENT:
Captured equipment, especially carbines, was used against the UN Forces because they lacked weapons and ammo.
SOUTH KOREAN SENTIMENTS:
South Koreans did not welcome the North Korean troops, because they took food from them.
