2. ASSESSMENT:
Information seems to have no value because of limited military service (3 days with front line troops).

4. DISPOSITION OF UNIT:
The Signal Co, 16th Regiment was in CHANGYONG GUN up to 11 Sep 50.

5. PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted 23 Jul 50, with 2,000 others at CHINNAMPO.
Trained 3 days and left for SEOUL by train (arrived 31 Jul 50). From SEOUL, the newly inducted troops marched by night to TAEJON (towns passed through unk). At TAEJON, about 1,000 troops were unsigned to an unk Div. From TAEJON, the troops marched through mountains until they reached CHANGYONG 8 Sep 50. (Most of the troops were assigned enroute). The informant was assigned to the 16th Regt’s Signal Company on 8 Sep 50.

6. FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Troops lived on rice confiscated from occupied areas.
Ammo: Informant’s Signal Co had 5 rifles and 300 rounds of ammo.

7. REPLACEMENTS:
The informant was one of the 2,000 replacements sent to the front on 31 Jul 50.

8. US PW’S:
About 500 US POW’s were seen in SEOUL on 31 Jul 50.
