ATIS INTERROGATION REPORT NO. 2566 7 December 1950
FIELD REPORT (24 Div - LDI - unnumbered) 17 November 1950
Interrogation of two (2) ROK soldiers, HAN JONG SHIK, Pvt, 1104134, and CHONG SONG SHI, Pvt, 1104150 revealed the following:
On or about 2 Nov 50 advance party of K Co, 21st RCT, 24th Inf Div, reached destination (unk). The following night at approx 0200, position overrun by undetermined number of CCF. Approx twenty (20) US soldiers and over 10 ROK soldiers (attached to K Co.) taken prioners. All outer clothing stripped from prisoners, and donned by US prisoners’ hands tied behind back, and left in area of ambush. ROK’s taken to area approx 2 1/2 miles NW. There observed approx 1,000 CCF with M1 rifles, PPSHs, and home-made spears with blade attached. No machine guns or heavy weapons observed. Observed approx 100 horses hauling ammo within 3 day period. Above questioned soldiers escaped 3 nights later.
