2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative, and spoke freely. Information here-in is fairly reliable.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
Feb 1941 - PW volunteered into the CNA at TAICHOU (泰州) and was attached to the 50th Nationalist Army, 41st Div, 121st Regt.
Apr 1949 - PW was captured by the CCF unit at CHANG GANG (長江). Source was conscripted into the CCF at CHANGCHIANG and was attached to the 3rd Field Army, 9th Army Group, 20th Army, 61st Div, 119th Regt, 2nd Bn, 2nd Co.
May 1949 - The entire 9th Army moved to SHANGHAI (上海).
21 Oct 50 - The 27th Army and 20th army departed SHANGHAI.
9 Nov 50 - The above two corps arrived at MUKDEN (奉天). The troops of the 27th Army corps were issued over coats (cotton). The 27th and 20th Army Corps departed MUKDEN.
11 Nov 50 - Arrived at ANTUNG (安東). The 27th and 20th Armies crossed the Yalu River at night. The 27th Army headed south. The 20th Army headed NE. PW last observed the 27th army at this point.
The 20th Army marched only at night headed for east. They marched for five days and arrived 16 km W of the CHANGJIN Reservoir (長律湖).
16 Nov 50 - The troops of the 20th Army were given 5 days rest to repair weapons and clothing.
23 Nov 50 - The entire 20th Army departed for CHANGJIN (長津).
24 Nov 50 - PW deserted with two others after seeing the safe conduct pass.
25 Nov 50 - PW surrendered approx 14 km W of CHOSIN Reservoir.

4. ORGANIZATION:
The 20th Army composed of 3 Inf Divs and l Arty Div. The Divs were the 58th, 59th and 60th Divs.
