PW appeared to be fairly intelligent. Re was cooperative, however possessed only limited military information due to short period of service. Considered fairly reliable by interrogator.

| 30 Aug 50: | PW and 10 graduates left P’YONGYANG via rail. Instructed to report to field Hq (戰線同令部) (Unit unknown), UISONG. |
| o/a 11 Sep 50: | PW's party arrived at SEOUL (Travel route unknown). P’YONGYANG-SEOUL railroad severed in many places. Travelled hill of distance on foot. Party left SEOUL same day on foot. |
| 20 Sep 50: | Party arrived at UISONG over highway via WONJU (原州), CHECH’ON (堤川), YONGJU (榮州), ANDONG (安東). At UISONG informed that Field Hq (Unit unknown) had withdrawn to SANGJU o/a 15 Sep. PW's party left UISONG on foot. |

1st OCS was located in former Japanese Army barracks 12 km South of SEOUL South Railway Station. Believed to be Inf OCS. Total student enrollment unknown since school quarters situated among wooded hills, however roughly estimated at 2,000 (Middle School Students, ages 18-25). Due to US air interdiction over school area, classes conducted in surrounding wooded hills by Plt and smaller units. NKPA officers (Sr Lt-Capt) acted as instructors. One month coarse consisting of disassembly and assembly of MAXIM HMG M1910, M1891/30 rifle, PPsh M1941 SMG, military organization (Co and Plt function), military tactics (mountain fighting and night combat). Students were graduated in 10 to 30 days depending on individual's progress. Issued new NKPA officers uniforms upon graduation. Usually sent directly to combat units in field.
Majority of officer candidates, 1st OCS, were conscripted from SEOUL Middle Schools. At middle schools, starting from 1st year classes, all students were given 2 hours daily classroom instructions on NKPA organization and unit administration by regular civilian instructors. Students in PW's middle school were told they would all became commissioned NKPA officers and were therefore being prepared for further training at NKPA 1st OCS.
