1. CONDITION OF ROADS, BRIDGE IN ENEMY TERRITORY:
The 1231 Unit Naval Guard Co from WONSAN moved to SEOUL (8 Sep 50 - 11 Sep 50) over the following route:
Departed WONSAN 2100, 8 Sep 50 by rail and arrived SINGOSAN (新高山)
Departed SINGOSAN 2000, 9 Sep 50 by rail and arrived YONCHON 0500, 10 Sep 50.
Departed YONGCHON (寧川 영천) 0500, 10 Sep 50 on foot and arrived TONGDUCHON (東豆川) 2300, 10 Sep 50. Reason for march was because a bridge was out due to bombing.
Departed TONDUCHON 0100. 11 Sep 50 via rail and after about 1½ hrs detrained and walked to SEOUL.

2. FOOD DUMPS:
The Central Food Warehouse were believed to be in WONSAN city, exact location unknown.

3. NAVAL BASE HQ:
PW heard that the JAPAN SEA NAVAL BASE HQ (東海海軍基地司令部) was in WONSAN, however, exact location was unknown.

4. DISPOSITION and STRENGTH OF DEFENSE UNITS IN WONSAN AREA:
A. AAA GUN POSITIONS
Subject observed seven (7) AAA guns emplaced stop a mountain W of WONSAN.
These AAA guns were 85MM and were placed there for the purpose of protecting an oil refinery in south WONSAN. PW observed these guns being fired at UN planes.
B. COAST DEFENSE ARTY GUNS
PW heard in Jun 50, that 12/76MM Coast Defense Arty guns were emplaced on high ground near WONSAN harbor. He also heard that a regiment of troops, probably a NK Marine Regt, was attached to unit.
C. KOREAN CCF UNIT
A unit of unknown strength, equipped with LMG, HMG and rifles, was stationed approx 2km S of the Naval Defense Co position. (see sketch). It arrived from Manchuria in Mar 50.
D. SHIPYARD
PW heard that a shipyard was located on N side of WONSAN. He heard that 200T ships equipped with steam engines were being built for purpose of coastal patrol.
