Subject is intelligent but lacked information. Commissioned a Capt for his ability to reed and write.
FOOD & AMMO SUPPLIES:The food warehouse in PYONGYANG was damaged by air raids. No supplies were believed entering SEOUL from N Korea due to damaged train routes.
The food supply point was believed, previously located in PYONGYANG. Supplies were shipped from there to SEOUL.
Rice and corn destined for the troops in the ANDONG area were stored in a 50 x 30 x 7 (M) wooden warehouse of the CHOYANGNI railroad station (near SEOUL). Warehouse was approx 1/3 full. These supplies had been brought by train from N Korea.
Wagons were used to deliver this food to ANDONG, through WONJU and YONGJU on the main highway. Short cuts & mountain trails were frequently used. Only night traveling done. Travel to ANDONG required 10 days. Food unloaded at the ANDONG RR station.
Subject was in charge of 1 trip (2 wagons) before captured.
Approx 3 officers and 3 NCO's were in charge of the CHONYANG NI warehouse.
PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:Inducted 13 Jun 50 in PYONGYANG.
Commissioned a Capt, 20 June 50, in the intendance section.
Served in that capacity in PYONGYANG until 5 Sep 50.
Transfered to the Intendance Section in SEOUL, 5 Sep 50.
Departed PYONGYANG 5 Sep 50.
Arrived SEOUL 6 Sep 50.
Departed SEOUL, 8 Sep 50, for the purpose of transporting food and supplies to ANDONG.
Arrived ANDONG 22 Sep 50 and departed same day for SANGJU.
Arrived SANGJU, 23 Sep 50, and was captured by US Forces.
