3. MILITARY HISTORY:Inducted 2 Jun 50 as Jr Lt at SIBYON RI (市昪里) anf attached to 7th Brig. Received no training.
On 28 Jun 50, 7th Brig was ordered to SEOUL but subject remained behind as food rationing officer for the families of troops.
Subject and 4 EM departed SINBYON RI on 4 Jul 50 and arrived SEOUL 8 Jul 50, travelling by truck and on foot. Here, he was assigned to Comm Bn, 7th Brig as finance officer.
O/a 15 Jul 50, 7th Brig was redesignated the 7th Div.
On 16 Jul 50, the 7th Div departed SEOUL for KWANGJU (光州), but subject remained at SEOUL.
Hearsay: 7th Div moved to UIRYONG (宜寧) on 26 Sep 50.
4. CIRCUMSTANCE OF CAPTURE:Subject deserted and surrendered to UN Forces.
5. ORGANIZATION:7th Div - 3 inf regts, 1 arty regt, 1 comm bn
Comm Bn - Hq Co (10 EM 8 Off), Wireless Co (70 EM 30 Off), Telephone Co (70 men 30 Off), Training Co (150 EM 4 Off).
Each Co of the Comm Bn was armed with approx 40 Russian rifies and 300 rds of ammo.
