3. MILITARY HISTORY:Subject was inducted into the army 2 Jul 50 at PYONGYANG (平壤), sent to OCS at SADON (寺洞) for approx 35 days and appointed 2nd Lt.
On 15 Aug 50, subject and approx 200 other 2nd Lts were sent to CHORWON (鐵原) and assigned to the 25th Brig, Ind Inf Bn. He was assigned to the Engr Co as Sqd Idr.
On 19 Sep 50, the 25th Brig moved to SEOUL. The Ind Inf Bn HQ was located at RIKA UNIVERSITY (理科大學).
On 21 Sep 50, the 25th Brifg moved to SHINCHON (新村).
The 25th Brig, Ind Inf Bn, Engr Co CO was 1st Lt TUN YUN HO (問允浩)
4. ORGANIZATION, STRENGTH & ARMAMENT:
Ind Inf Bn had approx 70 BARs, approx 10 45MM and 82MM Mortars
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Inf Bn had approx 180 BARs.
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th MG Bn had only 3 HMGs
Every man of the 25th Brig had rifles and 50 rds of ammo
6. LOCATION OF AMMO DUMP:
Subject observed that mines were laid in the middle of the road approx 10 meters apart from approx 1 Km W of intersection to two hills approx 700 meters toward SHINCHON (新村) RR Station.
7. SPECIAL EEI:Pw feels that the division of Korea was the cause of the conflict. He thinks that morale of NK Army is low and many went to surrender, but that a few Cultured Officers, by means of threats, keep the remainder from attempting to desert.
