MILITARY HISTORY:PW was inducted into the service on 2 Jul 50 and was attached to the 10th RR Brig Ind Guard Pltn (no training).
PW stated that the 10th RR Guard Brig consisted of approx 600 men.
On 3 Aug 50 about 300 men of the 10th Brig were ordered to move to SEOUL. PW stated that the 300 men were armed with 30 MOSSIN rifles (rds of ammunition unknown), 3 PPSH Submachine guns (72 rds of ammo per gun).
They arrived in SEOUL by rail on the afternoon of 6 Aug 50. The 300 men were immediately assigned to duties as supply carriers (food) and guards.
The above men were stationed in former KYONG SONG Agricultural High School. PW does not know his unit well because he was not too familiar with the NKPA, but believed. he was attached to Ind RR Guard Brig.
The 10th Brig Hqs was believed to be stationed some where in PYONG YANG.
On the morning of 24 Sep 50 the 300 men were moved to TONG DU CHON (洞頭川). On 26 Sep 50 PW went to SEOUL area with 7 men of the RR Pltn to draw some food supplies for the 300 men with 3 trucks.
PW was left behind and was waiting for a truck to pass by, but was caught by SK Police and was turned over to the 32 RCT.
PW was in uniform when captured by the SK Police.
