PW was cooperative with fair knowledge. No vital information due to time spent in the rear as a supply Sgt. Information obtained here-in is fairly reliable.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:Inducted on 1 Sep 48 at CHUN CHlN GUN (長津郡). Received Inf training at CHIN NAM PO, period of one year. Attached supply clerk school (Army) at CHIN NAM PO, period of 3 months. Unit moved to KUM CHON on Mar 49. Held position of food whse Sgt.
On 24 Jul 50 came to SEOUL and held food whse Sgt position.
PW was with the 4th Bn of the 3rd Brig during the above period.
After spending a few hours in SEOUL the unit was order to go to TAE JON area.
PW deserted unit enroute to SUWON on 26 Jul 50.
Returned to SEOUL was captured by Army authorities on 25 Aug 50, and spent approx 20 days in the stockade. Later released and forced to join the 36th Ind Bn which was formed at SEOUL on 21 Sep 50.
The 36th Ind Bn was formed at SEOUL of deserters and personnel of poor physical condition. PW did not know the unit strength because he remained in the rear in charge of the supply office. He was promoted to M/Sgt on 21 Sep 50.

5. CODE NO:The 4th Bn of the 3rd Brig was called the 3542 (Bn).
6. ENEMY INTENTIONS:Defend SEOUL. (personal opinion)
7. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:On 26 Jul 50 PW saw 7 US PWs walking through SUWON wearing fatigue clothing, and straw sandles.
