2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative, but information was very limited due to his short period of military service.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
20 Jul 50 - PW inducted at CH’ONGJIN (淸津) and assigned to the Marine Unit (Code No. 239) in CHINNAMP’O (鎭南浦). Since PW had 3 years of college (medical) education he was commissioned a Lt (中尉). PW was assigned to the Medical Co of the Marine Unit.
o/a 20 Aug 50 - The Medical Unit of the Marine Unit departed for S by train.
o/a 23 Aug 50 - They reached SEOUL and from here they marched.
1 Sep 50 - The Medical Co passed P’YONGT’AEK (平澤), NONSAN (論山) I-Ri (裡里) and reach KWANGJU (光州). The Medical Co was attached to the NAMHAE Brigade which was organized in the latter part of Aug 50. PW treated personnel of the NAMHAE Brigade at the CHO’NGP’UNG-Ni Primary School.
28 Sep 50 - The Medical Co departed for NK. While they were marching towards CHONJU (全州), they heard that the US troops had already entered CHONJU. The Medical Co was disbanded and all the personnel headed for NK. PW and 16 others walked through the mountains and headed North.
5 Oct 50 - PW and 16 others picked up a safe conduct pass on a mountain somewhere S of CHINAN (鎭安). PW and 2 others surrendered to US troops 4 km SE of CHINAN.
