T/O & E AND STRENGTH OF UNIT: (As of 27 Sep 50)The Internal Police Bn (NAIMUSHO DAITAI) was composed of 6 x companies (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th). Each company was composed of 4 x platoons and each platoon consisted of 3 x squads.
Because this unit was a special unit, most of the men were officers. There were very few NCO's (No EM). Number of officers in Bn, 700.
LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNIT:The 1st Platoon of the 1st Co, Internal Police Bn, on 14 Sep 50, was ordered to break up in small groups (singly or in two's) then go to KYONGSANG NAMDO, TOCHONSOJAEJI (道廳所在地) where the unit was supposed to have received further instructions from an agent.
When they arrived at CHINJU, they were ordered to return to NORTH KOREA, 27 Sep 50.
PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:Inducted 9 Aug 50 at PUKCHONG GUN. Between 10 Aug 50 and 1 Sep 50, the PW received police, counter-intelligence, espionage, and criminal investigation training with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
On 9 Sep 50, the Internal Police Bn was ordered to SEOUL. Arrived TAEJON 28 Sep 50.
The PW was taken prisoner on 29 Sep 50, 10 Km N of MUNI.

GENERAL INFORMATION:The personnel in the North Korean Internal Police are all communist party members. The requirements to join the Internal Police Force were as follows:
1. Party membership.
2. Labor organization leaders.
3. Middle school education.
The instructors at the Internal Police School are believed to have received training in RUSSIA.
The Internal Police School was formerly in PYONGYANG, it is presently at HAMGYONG NAMDO, HAMHUNG. The school is the former KAPYONG Middle School.
The course at the Internal Police School lasted 20 days. (3 months before the war.) The types of courses taught at this school were:
Counter Intelligence, Espionage, Interrogation, Criminal Detection
Students upon graduation were all commissioned 2nd Lieutenant (agents). The Internal Police were allowed to wear any type of clothing.
The headquarters for the North Korean Internal Police is in PYONGYANG.
The Internal Police has 6 main subdivisions. They are as follows:
Central headquarter in PYONGYANG.
Prefecture headquarter - on in every prefecture.
District headquarter - one in every district.
County headquarter - one in every county.
Town headquarter - one in every town.
Village headquarter - one in every village.
Since 1 Sep 50, about 700 agents received their instruction at KAPYONG Internal Police School. The students who graduated from the school were all sent to newly occupied SOUTH KOREA for the purpose of maintaining order.
CCF OFFICERS IN NORTH KOREA:The PW while attending the Internal Police School in HAMHUNG, heard that there were several high-ranking Chinese Communist Officers in PYONGYANG. (Intentions of Chinese Communist Officers unknown.)
