PW was student drafted into the NKPA against his will. He was sincere and cooperative. Not recommended for further interrogation.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
1 Aug 50: PW was a student at the HAEJU Normal College. Drafted into the Training Regt of the Security forces at HWANGJU (黃州). Received military and political training for a month.
1 Sep 50: Commissioned a Jr Lt in the Security forces and departed for NAMCH'ON (南川) with approx 2,000 men on foot.
7 Sep 50: Arrived SEOUL via KAESONG.
8 Sep 50: Assigned as 3rd Plt Ldr of 2nd Co, 41st Bn, 110th Regt. 110th Regt departed for KOCH'ANG (居昌).
16 Sep 50: Arrived KOCH'ANG without incident.
16 Sep 50: 110th Regt was stationed outside KOCH'ANG.
25 Sep 50: Waited for replacements from KWANGJU (光州).
26 Sep 50: 110th Regt arrived HAMYANG (咸陽). The Commander of the 110th Regt issued orders to all subordinate units of the Regt to form guerrilla units.
26 Sep 50: The strength of PW's guerrilla unit was approx 800 including 400 men of the 110th Regt. PW departed for TOKYU (德祐山) Mt approx 20 km NW KOCH'ANG with approx 600 guerrillas. The 200 other men were sent to an unknown place.
27 Sep 50: Before daylight PW and two other Jr Lts deserted the unit.
29 Sep 50: Near TAEJON PW and the other two officers surrendered to US troops.
Unit Organization and Strength:
This Regt consists of four Bns (41st, 42nd, 43rd, 44th). Each Bn consists of three (3) Rifle Cos and a HMG Co. Each Bn had approx 20 officers and 80 NCO's. This Regt was not up to strength. There were only 20 Pvts in each Bn. Original strength of the Regt was about 400 men.

Unit History:
110th Regt was to have organized a complete combat unit at KOCH'ANG (居昌), however before this could be accomplished the Regt was obliged to form a guerrilla band.
Intentions:
The Regt is probably hiding in the TOKYU Mt approx 20 km NW of KOCH'ANG (居昌). The strength of this guerrilla band is approx 600 men.
