T/O & AND STRENGTH OF 9TH DIV 87TH REGT HQ:9th Div was composed of the 87th Rifle Regt (Code 315), 2 other Rifle Regts and other unknown units.
87th Regt was composed of 3 x Rifle Bn, 76 mm Field Gun Co, 45 mm AT Gun Co, SMG Co, Signal Co, and Medical Co.
87th Regt Hq was composed of the staff section, rear command section, and culture section. The culture section was composed of the Propaganda Section and Library Section.
PW's duty was to distribute newspapers and periodicals to troops of the Regiment.
LOCATION & ACTIVITIES OF UNIT:The remaining troops (150 men) of 87th Regt were retreating toward TAEJON on 27 Sep 50, when air attacked at SHINBAN and dispersed.
