2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was intelligent. He was cooperative, and although of the good natured type, seemed bitter about the fact that all the senior officers of the 1st Auxillary Hqs, evacuated on 24 Sep 50, before the personnel of the unit. Considered reliable.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
24 Jul 50: Inducted into Security Forces at P'YONGYANG with the rank of Jr Lt.
5 Aug 50: Arrived SEOUL and assigned to Security Hqs.
17 Aug 50: Assigned to 1st Auxillary Hqs stationed at YONGJU (榮州). Arrived there 15 Aug 50 after 12 days march.
23 Aug 50: Transferred to MANCH'ON DONG (만천洞). PW transferred to Field Hospital, 1st Auxillary Hqs located at YONGYANG GUN KAMCH'ON-NI (英陽郡甘川里).
25 Aug 50: Worked as supply officer in Field Hospital untio 25 Sep 50 when Field Hospital withdrew to YONGJU. The same day, PW received orders to report to 1st Auxillary Hqs in MANCH'ON DONG. Arriving there 26 Sep 50 PW learned Hqs had withdrawn to vicinity of YONGJU.
26 Aug 50: While enroute to YONGJU PW was captured by ROK troops at PONGHWA GUN (奉化郡).

Organization of Security Forces:
Supreme command was the Ministry of Interior. Subordinate to this was the Security Hqs (警備司令部) located in SEOUL as of 25 Sep 50. Under this Hqs came the 1st Auxillary Hqs (第一補助指令部) located in YONGJU as of 25 Sep 50, and the 2nd Auxillary Hqs in TAEJON as of 5 Aug 50. Under the direct jurisdiction of the 1st Auxillary Hqs were the following security regiments: 101st Regiment, 103rd Regiment, 108th Regiment and 112th Regiment. The Field Hospital was also directly attached to the 1st Auxillary Hqs. Its duties were to treat all casualties from the above four regiments.
Last known location as of 25 Sep 50 of 101st Regt Hqs was CH'ONGSONG. The 101st Security Regiment, the greater percentage comprised of veterans from the CCF 8th Routh Army, is known to have participated in action at P'OHANG and YONGDOK. 103rd, 108th, 112th Regts, comprised of recruits from ROK, never engaged in action to PW's knowledge.

General Affairs Sec - 4 officers

Nurses Sec - 1 officer and 20 NCO (all females)
Medic Sec - 18 EM
Security Squad - 13 EM

Death rate among wounded:
Field Hospital, 1st Auxillary Hqs, Security Forces Hqs:
According to the best of the PW's knowledge, during the period 25 Aug 50-25 Sep 50, only two died from wounds of a total of 400 treated casualties, mostly personnel of the 101st Regt. This low death rate is attributed to the fact that this hospital treated only those with light wounds, all of whom were still able to walk. It was not equipped with facilities to treat personnel with serious wounds.
